Meta and BlackRock formally announced their $14 billion El Paso data center joint venture. Corning had its worst day since 2002. China started mass producing domestic chipmaking tools.
The Dow rallied hard today.
Old economy names like Coca-Cola and Sherwin-Williams led. Health care and financials hit all-time highs. The rotation out of tech is no longer subtle.
Chips had their worst month since 2008. South Korea's market triggered circuit breakers. Oil fell back toward $78 as Iran peace talks reopened.
The Fed decides tomorrow. And the biggest AI financing structure of the quarter went public today, right on schedule.
PMD LENS
Meta (META) and BlackRock (BLK) named the venture structure this afternoon. $14 billion. 80/20 split. $12.55 billion in debt that cleared at a junk yield. Every hyperscaler reporting this week now prices their own 2027 capex against that clearing rate. The Fed decides tomorrow on the rate that structure sits under.
Wall Street's Favorite AI Stocks Are Walking Into a MASSACRE
Cisco was once the MOST valuable company on Earth. Then it fell 80% - and investors waited 25 YEARS just to break even.
A Wall Street legend is out with a new warning: "It's about to happen again." He says many of today's overhyped AI darlings - stocks sitting in almost every 401(k) in America - could lose up to HALF their value or more.
He just went on camera with the names.
- Visa (V) announced cutting 7% of its workforce today.
- Consumer confidence missed in July, falling to 90.8.
- Health care and financials ETFs hit all-time highs today.
Meta and BlackRock Named the AI Build Structure. The Price Is Now Public.
Meta and BlackRock announced their El Paso data center joint venture today at $14 billion in development cost. BlackRock-managed funds take 80%. Meta keeps 20%. Meta contributes $2.3 billion in land and construction. BlackRock puts in $4.9 billion cash. The remaining $12.55 billion is debt. Meta receives a $1 billion distribution to align ownership. The campus targets 1 gigawatt of compute. Operations begin 2028.
That debt priced Monday at 7.53%. Investment-grade paper at a junk yield. The equivalent Louisiana bonds from the same Meta structure trade half a point tighter. Same guarantor. Same structure. Half a point wider six months later. That is the documented cost of AI capital going up quarter over quarter.
Meta has committed to $600 billion in data center investment by 2028. Today's announcement makes the financing structure explicit. Meta puts in 16% of equity value and keeps 20% of the venture. Debt funds the rest. Meta gets a gigawatt of compute without carrying the full bill on its own balance sheet.
Meta reports Q2 tomorrow. Microsoft (MSFT) also reports Wednesday. Amazon (AMZN) and Apple (AAPL) follow Thursday. Every one of them sets 2027 capex commentary into the debt market that just cleared at 7.5%.
The Signal to Watch
Meta naming additional JV partners beyond BlackRock and Blue Owl on tomorrow's call confirms the capital raise is expanding. A specific 2027 capex increase would require another $12 billion-plus bond deal in the same market. The Fed decides tomorrow on the rate that deal would price against.
Trump’s Secret Plan to Unlock $7.5 Trillion for Patriots?
With this audacious move, President Trump could seal his historic legacy.
Minting a whole new generation of American millionaires in the process.
And nobody is paying attention.
But in this jaw-dropping new video, one ex-Wall Street insider exposes the smoking gun evidence that a Trump-approved $7.5 trillion tsunami is about to hit the markets.
Including a personal letter, written by President Trump himself, revealing why phase one of this secret plan could be just days away.

SIGNAL 1: Corning Had Its Worst Day Since 2002. On a Beat.
Corning (GLW) fell 16% today after reporting Q2 earnings that beat on both top and bottom lines. Guidance for the current quarter came in slightly below Wall Street's expectations. That was enough. Worst day since 2002.
Corning has a $6 billion Meta optical fiber deal signed in January. It has a $3.2 billion Nvidia (NVDA) investment from May. It has a multi-billion Amazon (AMZN) fiber deal from June. Three named hyperscaler relationships. In-line guidance. Stock down 16%.
Ciena (CIEN) fell 11%. Coherent (COHR) fell 13%. Lumentum (LITE) dropped 12%. The entire optical networking complex sold off on the same print.
The market is pricing that even contracts with named hyperscalers do not clear current AI capex skepticism. That is a meaningful signal heading into Meta and Microsoft tomorrow night.
The Signal to Watch
Any hyperscaler reaffirming specific Corning fiber contract volumes on Q2 calls this week converts the selloff from broad skepticism into a documented contract-level test.
SIGNAL 2: China Started Mass Producing Domestic Chipmaking Tools.
China has begun mass producing domestically developed immersion lithography machines. Shanghai Aishengna, a state-owned company, is leading production after absorbing teams from two smaller domestic equipment firms. The machines are expected to be delivered this year to SMIC, Hua Hong, and CXMT. Aishengna plans roughly five machines this year and about 20 in 2027.
ASML (ASML) fell 8% Monday. Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) fell nearly 9% today. Intel (INTC) fell 8%. Sandisk (SNDK) dropped over 14%. SK Hynix fell nearly 15% in Seoul. Samsung fell over 13%.
This is not a near-term threat to ASML's leading-edge dominance. The Chinese machines remain far behind on performance. But CXMT becoming a named customer for domestic tools is a documented step in Chinese semiconductor self-sufficiency. It arrived in the same 48 hours as the Moonshot distillation allegation and China's "AI hegemonism" countermeasure threat.
The Signal to Watch
US Treasury naming Aishengna or specific DUV supply chain participants before September AI talks converts Chinese self-sufficiency progress into an active bilateral trade action inside the semiconductor equipment layer.
SIGNAL 3: NATO Has 24 New Explosives Projects. Three in Arkansas.
At least 24 new propellant and explosives projects are under way across NATO. Three factories are being built in Arkansas alone. The US currently has one propellant factory, a World War II-era plant in Virginia, with none built since the early 1970s.
TNT will be produced in the US for the first time in decades. TNT costs have nearly quadrupled since 2024. Poland's primary TNT supplier told US customers it could not guarantee shipments. Almost $50 billion of the proposed defense budget targets domestic critical minerals, chemicals, and energetics.
Explosives and propellants are the base layer of the munitions supply chain. The reshoring push is moving from announcements into ground being broken.
The Signal to Watch
Any formal investment announcement naming a specific Arkansas facility converts the trend piece into a documented capital deployment event inside the fiscal 2027 defense budget window.
I Became a Millionaire Here While I Was Still in College
This little-known building in Pasadena is where I learned about a kind of investment most people never get access to. Twenty years later, that same opportunity is wide open again. And it's all because of what's about to happen to OpenAI and Anthropic.

The largest AI-capex financing structure of the quarter went public this afternoon at $14 billion, 80/20, and 7.5% debt. The largest optical-networking supplier fell 16% on a beat. The largest Chinese memory customer got named as a domestic-lithography buyer. And the largest US defense-budget line for critical inputs is breaking ground in Arkansas. The Fed decides tomorrow against every one of those inputs moving in the same direction. Microsoft and Meta answer at 4pm.
Meta named the structure. Corning priced the skepticism. China shipped the tools. The Fed votes tomorrow at 2pm. Meta and Microsoft report at 4pm.
Corning contract reaffirmation on Q2 calls, Meta's 2027 capex commentary, and any Treasury designation before September talks are the three signals that define whether hyperscaler commitments hold, whether the AI debt market tightens or widens from here, and whether the bilateral semiconductor conflict moves from rhetoric to action before Anthropic files.
