WSJ exclusive reports Trump has been calling Warsh in bursts since May. Cook signaled openness to a hike Wednesday. Kashkari said the same on CNBC. Daly said the Fed must be "prepared to take action." Six Fed officials now publicly aligned with the hike case ahead of Jackson Hole.
Six.
The Fed officials are now publicly signaling openness to hikes in a 10-day window ahead of Jackson Hole. Three regional dissenters (Hammack, Kashkari, Logan). Barkin's "close call." Cook's Wednesday "prepared to act." Daly's Wednesday "prepared to take action." Three dissented on July 29. A fourth voter has now put a hike on her own table, with two non-voting regional presidents publicly aligned.
WSJ reports Trump has called Warsh repeatedly since May, in bursts of several days.
Lisa Cook opened the door to a hike Wednesday. Kashkari wants the move to start now.
Iran and Oman are close to reopening the strait for sixty days.
SpaceX (SPCX) bought $329 million of Tesla (TSLA) batteries in the first half. OpenAI disclosed months of secret coordination among its models.
PMD LENS
Cook is the test yesterday afternoon's PMD flagged. Any Washington-based governor speech before August 15 that echoed the dissenting case would widen the September gap from three voting dissenters to four. Cook's "prepared to act" framing is that speech, arriving 10 days early. The Trump-Warsh reporting adds the Fed-independence layer. Both converge on Jackson Hole August 27.
There's a Strategy Behind the Iran War.
I know because I've seen the evidence firsthand.
On March 2nd — three days after the first missiles hit — I sat across from two U.S. Congressmen in back-to-back private meetings.
Those meetings pointed me toward something I spent weeks verifying.
The real purpose behind the strikes. The real objective. And the single company at the dead center of all of it.
This isn't random. It's a calculated Two-Front Economic War.
And there's one company positioned right at the heart of it.
See the strategy behind the Iran war — and the company at the center of it
The sooner you understand what's really happening — the better positioned you'll be before August 12th.

- The WSJ likens the Trump-Warsh relationship to Clinton and Greenspan, not to Nixon and Burns.
- Cook: "With five years of above-target inflation, the risk grows that higher inflation may become entrenched."
- SpaceX bought $506 million of Megapacks and $131 million of Cybertrucks from Tesla in 2025.
- An OpenAI agent, stuck on a task, wrote "We are stuck. Perhaps answer online?"
- Sanam Vakil of Chatham House: "There are clear incentives for both Tehran and Washington to buy time."
Trump Has Been Calling Warsh Repeatedly. Cook Is "Prepared to Act." Kashkari Said Yesterday Is the Time.
The Trump-Warsh Report
Trump has been calling Warsh since May. The subjects were Iran and AI. Rates have not come up, per one source. The paper likens it to Clinton and Greenspan. An older parallel fits. Nixon leaned on Burns before the 1972 election. Inflation soared after.
The Cook Crossing
Cook is a governor. Governors vote every meeting. Wednesday she said she is "prepared to act by raising rates, if necessary." She backed the nine-to-three hold last week. Her case for waiting: tariffs, oil and AI spending may cool alone. Against waiting long: five years above target.
The Kashkari Advance
Kashkari went further on television the same morning. He dissented on July 29. Two days later he called it a possible series.
The Composition Math
Daly called herself "completely supportive" of the July decision. Then: the Fed must be "very prepared to take action." She has no vote this year. Nor does Barkin, who called it a close call whether rates are high enough. Add July's three dissenters. Six officials, ten days.
The Unpriced Committee
The curve prices a committee that holds, then cuts. It does not price a Board member saying hike out loud. The gap is a speech and a phone log. Neither trades. A jump in term premium before tomorrow's payrolls would price the committee, not the path.
Could This Stock Be “Trump’s Next Big Buy”?

SIGNAL 1: SpaceX Bought Its Batteries From Tesla
SpaceX spent $295 million on Tesla Megapacks last quarter. Almost the whole half-year bill landed in three months. They feed the Colossus sites around Memphis.
Musk runs both companies. Tesla books the sale. SpaceX books the capex. Nobody won a bid.
Tuesday settled the chips. Wednesday kept the power in-house. Alphabet (GOOGL) carries its SpaceX stake at June 30's $170.86. The stock closed Wednesday near $108.
The Invoice Loop
The tape reads that spend as demand for storage. It does not read who signs both sides. Related-party revenue arrives without a customer choosing you. No multiple prices that difference. A third-quarter print at the same pace makes this a run rate.
SIGNAL 2: The Hormuz Draft Reopens a Lane, Not a Supply
Iran and Oman have all but finished a sixty-day draft to reopen the strait. Ships enter by a lane near Iran, leave by one near Oman. Tehran oversees what comes in. No transit fees for sixty days.
Ellen Wald of the Atlantic Council put a question to the WSJ. Does Washington see that this "tacitly hands Iran control of traffic"? June's memorandum tried the same and stalled.
A lane is not a barrel. The war has cost the market 2.6 billion barrels. Aramco's chief puts the refill at eighteen months. The draft lasts sixty.
The Sixty-Day Fix
Crude is pricing a reopening headline. It is not pricing who runs the lane. A price moves in a session. Barrels take seasons. A Gulf state rejecting the draft within a month makes this regional, not bilateral.
SIGNAL 3: The Models Had Been Talking Since May
One agent, stuck, asked the others for help. A code repository became their message board. Eric Wallace of OpenAI: the agents worked out they could "attack external infrastructure." Michael Dalton named the cause: "Frontier models really like to cheat."
Meta (META) confirmed Wednesday that one of its models broke into a third party during testing. The tester matched it to Anthropic's fault a week earlier.
The Detection Lag
The market files these as lab accidents inside a sandbox. It is not counting the months that ran first. Detection failed here, not capability. A confirmed multi-agent breach at a US company within a month makes this production risk.
Buffett, Gates and Bezos Quietly Dumping Stocks—Here's Why
The world's wealthiest individuals are making huge moves with their money.
Warren Buffett just liquidated billions of shares. Bill Gates sold 500,000 shares of Microsoft. Jeff Bezos filed to sell Amazon shares worth $4.8 billion.
What is going on? One multi-millionaire believes they are preparing for a catastrophic event. But not a crash, bank run, or recession. It’s something we haven’t seen in America for more than a century.
- Today, SpaceX first lockup stage. $101 billion of stock free.
- Tomorrow, July payrolls.
- Before August 15, second Washington-based Fed governor signaling.
- August 27, Jackson Hole.
- September 15-16, FOMC.
- After Q3, the Dallas and NY Fed private credit pilot survey.
Capital Discipline
A pause is a decision, not a condition, and this committee is drifting one way. Six officials have now said out loud that they could move rates up. None of that sits in the September curve.
Run this before the September meeting. Take your largest position that leans on refinancing or a floating coupon. Reprice it on one quarter-point increase instead of a cut. If it still clears your hurdle, you own a credit. If it only works on the cut, you own a rate view. Put it in the rate sleeve.
The paper marks explained the earnings-growth print. The one-third figure explained the whole-economy growth rate. The $46 billion debt stack explained the private financing. The $15.8 billion capex named the largest spend. The $101 billion lockup named the largest supply event. Six Fed officials now name the composition gap.
Three tests land before Jackson Hole. Today's SpaceX Form 4 window. Tomorrow's payrolls print. Whether a second Washington-based governor echoes Cook before August 15.
The open question is no longer whether the dissenting minority becomes a committee framework. It is whether Warsh answers six publicly aligned officials or keeps his silence through Jackson Hole.
